Example - Banking or Insurance Domain - Representing Business Process/Workflows/Transactions using BPMN 2.0 can help you visualize the big picture easily and then you may have to drill down to low-level requirements.

Note - Incase your key audiences (Development and QA Team) does not know how to interpret the BPMN Model , then you may have to write a paragraph in simple plain English. This has always worked out for me/them.

Tools - Microsoft Visio, Draw io. - I have been using these in few of my discoveries (Requirement Elicitation sessions)
